Bookings Terms and Conditions
All confirmed bookings are subject to the terms and conditions explained below. By confirming your booking with Urban Chauffeur Cars, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
Prices provided are valid exclusively based on vehicle availability. Requests for specific models are subject to vehicle availability and will incur additional charges (European sedan + 30%-50%, 4-seater SUV + $30 and 6-7 seater van + 50%-60%). Prices quoted are inclusive of GST. Extra charges may apply for Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays. Bookings requiring a baby seat, booster and/or capsule will incur an additional charge of $10.00 per item. Different prices apply for wedding transfers (wedding getaway cars + 100%), large special events/days including, but not limited to, AFL Grand Final, Grand Prix, Spring Racing Carnival (Caulfield Cup; Darby Day; Melbourne Cup; Lady’s Day (+ 100%), New Year Eve (+ 300%). We allow 10 minutes grace for pickups from fixed addresses (office; home; hotel; restaurant etc.). Waiting time after will be charged at $1.50 per minute ($2 per minute between 10:30pm and 5:00am). For pick-ups between 10:30pm and midnight (12:00am) a surcharge of $30 applies. For all services between midnight and 4:00am, a surcharge of $50 applies.
The customer acknowledges that he/she indemnifies the company and its employees against any loss, consequential or otherwise as a result, direct or indirect or otherwise, of a failure to meet time deadlines. The customer accepts total responsibility to ensure that there is adequate time to travel to and from destinations by the time deadline/s required. Any advice provided by the company or its employees to the customer is to be used only as a guide and the customer accepts this guide may be inaccurate due to unforeseen circumstances including, but not limited to, traffic conditions, poor weather, break downs and overtime. The customer agrees to accept full financial responsibility and unlimited liability for any damage caused to the vehicle by the customer or any members of their/his/her party. A no contact with customer (no show) will result in the full amount of the journey being charged. If you cannot contact the driver at the airport, then please contact us immediately.
Credit Card Payments
Credit card details must be provided when making a booking. Credit card will be charged 12 hours prior to booking time. American Express and Diners credit cards carry 11% processing charge. Visa and Master credit cards carry a processing charge of 5%. EFT is also available. Please note that Urban Chauffeur Cars has the right to charge the credit card for any monies outstanding.
Changes to Bookings
If you wish to make any changes to your booking after the booking has been confirmed, such changes can only be made subject to availability. Urban Chauffeured Cars reserves the right to charge an additional fee in relation to any changes made to your booking.
Please note the booking is time based. Extra time used by the client will be chargeable to your credit card. Surcharges apply for pickup waiting times at Melbourne Airport:
* Between 0-29 minutes: $5
* Between 29-58 minutes: $15
* Between 59-119 minutes: $30.
Any diversions from a direct transfer will result in an additional charge.
All monies paid by you for deposit or payments of vehicle hire or related service are strictly “non-refundable”. Cancellations are accepted free of charge within a minimum of 24 hours prior your booking time. If the customer cancels a booking/hire less than 24 hours prior to the date scheduled booking/hire, the customer shall incur and will be charged a cancellation fee at the sum equal to the full hire charge. Special events bookings such as, but not limited to, AFL Grand Final, Grand Prix, Spring Carnival, New Year’s Eve, Christmas Day, Australian Open, Weddings and Tours, will incur in 100% cancellation charges of the total cost of the booking whether the booking is cancelled entirely or partially.
Any transfer in which bride/bridesmaids/groom/groomsmen are passengers or gataway cars is considered wedding transfer. Any concerts, sporting events are considered special event transfer. It is your responsibility to indicate a correct service type. Should a wrong service is chosen or indicated, you agree to pay any additional charges applied to supplied credit card post trip. Bookings made for weddings or special events will require a 50% non-refundable deposit on the day the booking is made. The outstanding balance is required one-week prior to the day of the booking. Additional Booking Terms and Conditions
Our chauffeurs reserve the right to refuse/cancel the booking at any point during the transfer if the passenger acts aggressive or intoxicated. Antisocial behavior will not be tolerated. If reservation is cancelled by such reasons, no refund will be issued and reservation will be charged at total cost. The company reserves the right to change, update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. While every effort is made to ensure that bookings are handled with care, the company accepts no responsibility for any unexpected circumstances that cause changes in vehicle availabilities. The company reserves the right to terminate the booking/hire if any illegal activity is undertaken by the customer and or party while on charter. The customer agrees and acknowledges that the company will retain all monies paid to it and may seek payment from the customer for any damages, loss, costs or fees incurred as a result of the customer’s illegal activity and/or termination of booking/hire.
- This voucher valid only with Urban Chauffeur Cars services until the expiry date specified on the voucher and cannot be redeemed or replaced after this date.
- Urban Chauffeur Cars is not responsible for lost/stolen vouchers, and is not responsible for replacing a voucher that has been stolen/lost.
- This voucher is subject to law, non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- There is no limit for voucher purchase.
- Voucher can be used for one way or return transfer for one or up to three passengers in one go.
- If the transfer booked costing over the voucher limit, voucher holder must pay the excess.
- Transfer with voucher must be booked at least 72 hours’ prior the travel date.
- We do not accept booking change after 24 hours prior your booked date.
- No show will result loss of the voucher and last-minute changes are not allowed.
- Urban Chauffeur Cars is not responsible if there is no car available for your preferred transfer date.
